J. SERIES: THE SERVANT KING - SESSION 8

JOHN 15.1-11
Think about the people you live with.
I’m not talking about those who occasionally visit. Or spend-the-night even. I am talking about those that you live with day in and day out.
24/7/365.
Think about how well you know them. How well they know you.
They know just how addicted to Fortnite you really are. They know what you look like without makeup. They know how scared you are of throwing up. They know how much you are struggling with chemistry. They know who you are crushing on. They know that you sometimes sneak ice cream after bedtime. They know what your dirty socks smell like. Eh. Too much?
We become intimately acquainted with those we live with.
Day in. Day out.
When Jesus calls us to relationship with Him, He doesn’t desire occasional visits or a spend-the-night. He calls us to “abide,” that is to live—to make our home-with Him. That is to become not only intimately acquainted with, but completely empowered by our residence with Him. To live with Jesus, is to live in Jesus.
Day in. Day out.
I love your heart!
Bryan
